This skid plate set is very impressive. MUCH thicker than the original. I've hit some pretty major rocks with it already, but they didn't even leave a mark on it. This skid plate DOES work with the factory rock sliders. I was worried that it wouldn't, but it fits perfectly between the slides. Installation was kind-of a pain, even on a lift. A couple holes didn't line up perfectly, but after about an hour of adjusting, loosening, tightening, adjusting, etc, we finally got all the screws in. You do have to drill one hole once all the other screws are in, but it includes everything you need for that.
Shortly after installation, I found that it has no drain holes. Water wasn't draining from the cab floor, or under the seats, or from the driveshaft channel. I had to drill some in it in a few places and now the water drains right out. Otherwise, I've had no issues.
Not only is this thicker than the original, it is wider in some places which help protect the frame in areas where it was exposed before. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who is riding on rough, rutty, or rocky trails. I found from experience that it took just one rock in the right spot to hit the bottom of my trans-axle through the thin factory skid plate. I no longer have that fear with this skid plate!
This was installed on my 2015 Wildcat Trail XT with factory Arctic Cat rock sliders.
